History
At the heart of downtown Barrington, IL stands The Catlow Theatre, a historic treasure currently undergoing a remarkable transformation thanks to Catlow 1927 Foundation. This architectural gem, built in 1927 and listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, is being meticulously restored as a multi-use venue that honors the vision of Wright Catlow and the artistry of Alfonso Iannelli.

Once revitalized, The Catlow will serve as a dynamic community hub that enriches the lives of its visitors. With a thoughtful blend of historic artifacts and modern amenities, we are inspired to create a cultural center where the Barrington community can unite for live performances, film screenings, historic tours, and more. It will become a destination venue, focusing awareness and shining a spotlight on our village.
