The Catlow 1927 Foundation is dedicated to restoring The Catlow Theatre of Barrington to its former glory, transforming it into a beacon for the northwest suburbs. Our vision includes the restoration of the theatre’s iconic marquee and historic architecture, aiming to make it a vibrant cultural hub for the Barrington community and beyond.
Preserving and renovating historic buildings plays a crucial role in revitalizing neighborhoods and communities while maintaining their unique character and heritage. Sustainable restoration projects, like ours, maximize prior investments in infrastructure and development, encourage growth in established areas, and offer an environmentally friendly alternative to new site redevelopment.

Mission Statement
Catlow 1927 Foundation, a 501(c)(3), was founded to restore The Catlow Theatre, Barrington’s iconic & architectural gem, back to its original glory of 1927.
This is a one time capital campaign.
All donations are 100% tax deductible and go directly to the restoration of the historic Catlow Theatre, which will revitalize Barrington with arts & entertainment while maintaining its charming character
Once the restoration is complete, in addition to showing movies, the foundation will host a wide array of events in the multi-purpose venue which will fund the preservation and maintenance of The Catlow indefinitely.
The Catlow Theatre is listed on The National Register of Historic Places and serves as the architectural gem of Barrington, Illinois. Catlow 1927 Foundation will preserve and prepare The Catlow Theatre for its next hundred years.
Catlow 1927 Foundation is proud to be partnering with Daprato Rigali Studios for the restoration of The Catlow. They are a renowned restoration company, nationally recognized and founded in 1860.
